The AOA follows a January \u2013 December calendar year membership cycle, but you can conveniently join the AOA any time of the year at a prorated rate. The following list includes the full annual rates available for new AOA members.<\/p>\n<div class=\"buttons\">\n<h3>Membership categories<\/h3>\n<p>No matter your career stage or practice type, the AOA has a membership option to meet your needs. The following list includes annual rates available for new AOA members.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Osteopathic physicians<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One-year regular membership: $593<\/li>\n<li>New physician in practice (year one): $171<\/li>\n<li>New physician in practice (year two): $341<\/li>\n<li>New physician in practice (year three): $513<\/li>\n<li>One-year membership for military physicians (and those working in the Department of Veterans Affairs): $513\n<ul>\n<li>Access the <a href=\"https:\/\/aoaforms.formstack.com\/forms\/application_for_military_membership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online application<\/a> to request the Military Rate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interns, resident physicians &amp; fellows<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One-year membership: $69<br \/>\nTo verify if you are eligible for resident physician\/postdoctoral training membership, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/osteopathic.org\/about\/contact-us\/\">AOA Member Resource Center<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Osteopathic medical students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Osteopathic medical students receive complimentary membership in the AOA. If you are a student doctor and have not received your AOA ID, please fill out our <a href=\"https:\/\/osteopathic.org\/about\/aoa-membership\/aoa-student-membership\/\">online form<\/a>\u00a0to receive an AOA ID and activate your student membership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Retired DOs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One-year membership: $104<br \/>\nFor DOs who have completely retired from practice and are not employed in any phase of professional activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Allied members<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One-year membership: $463<br \/>\nFor licensed health care providers who are currently employed with an active member of the AOA, contribute to the practice of that member, are not eligible for any other category of membership and who support the goals and objectives of the AOA. Also\u00a0for physicians holding an MD degree and license\u00a0to practice in the U.S. who support the AOA mission and subscribe to its code of ethics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Associate members<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One-year membership: $104<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>For non-DOs who have a professional relationship with an AOA DO member and\/or with affiliates of the AOA as specified in the AOA\u2019s bylaws.
