{"id":16421,"date":"2019-06-06T17:57:13","date_gmt":"2019-06-06T22:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/osteopathic.org\/?page_id=16421"},"modified":"2023-03-24T12:23:52","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T17:23:52","slug":"cme-for-retired-specialty-boards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/osteopathic.org\/cme\/cme-for-retired-specialty-boards\/","title":{"rendered":"CME for Retired Specialty Boards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the small number of physicians training in the specialties, the following specialty certifying boards are currently in a retired status:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>American Osteopathic Board of Nuclear Medicine (AOBNM)<\/li>\n<li>American Osteopathic Board of Proctology (AOBPr)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the subspecialties noted below are currently in retired status:<\/p>\n<p>American Osteopathic Board of Pediatric subspecialties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adolescent Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric Endocrinology<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric Pulmonology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology &amp; Otolaryngology:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Otolaryngic Allergy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Diplomates who hold an active certification(s) in any of the specialties or subspecialties listed above have the following CME requirements for the 2022-2024 Certification CME cycle:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>120 total CME credits per 3-year Certification CME cycle<\/li>\n<li>Of the total 120 credits required, a minimum of 25% must be specialty-specific<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Diplomates are required to verify specialty-specific CME by completing the <a href=\"https:\/\/aoaforms.formstack.com\/forms\/specialty_specific_cme_attestation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">self-attestation form<\/a>.
